Full Job Description
Primary Job Duties

  • Lead the development, communication, and administration of new hire orientation and onboarding, performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and top talent learning initiatives.
  • Partner with Tribal Operations leaders and HR Business Partners on assessing organizational talent gaps and capabilities needed to support business goals and growth and identify top talent for promotion and further development.
  • Partner with leaders across the SMSC to build training content and courses to support team members' professional development.
  • Lead, develop, and communicate regular talent summary reports and dashboards to Tribal Operations leaders and HR Business Partners.
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline training operations, generate content, and personalize learning experiences.
  • Ensure general HR compliance training is delivered and tracked on a regular basis.
  • Lead the development of talent management job aids and processes for team members to access via the SMSC's internal team member app, webpage, tools, and email communications.
  • Provide support and coaching on concepts and topics related to organizational design and effectiveness.
  • Manage all training calendars, scheduling, and resource coordination across Tribal Operations enterprises and departments.
  • Apply a data-driven approach to measuring the effectiveness of talent, leadership, and learning and development programs and continuously iterate to improve results.
  • Lead and develop team member engagement activities and reward and recognition program(s).
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing Talent Management and HR Communications and Engagement team. Hire, coach, mentor, and develop team members; set clear goals and expectations; manage performance; and build a culture grounded in accountability, trust, continuous learning, and innovation while fostering an engaging, positive, and productive team environment.


Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required to meet the expectations of this job:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or other related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience in talent management related to leadership training and talent assessments and programs.
  • Experience leading and developing new hire orientation and onboarding, along with engagement programs.
  • Demonstrated competence and experience in broad fields of human resources, including organizational design, change management, performance management, and talent assessments.
  • Experience in delivering leadership training and building leadership curriculums.
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to write in different styles to reflect the nature of the stakeholder, audience, and message.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Suite.
  • Demonstrated organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving, and process analysis skills.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
