JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary
The Leader, Business Process Transformation owns the enterprise-wide vision, business-process design, requirements, adoption, and outcomes for AI-enabled planning and production capabilities. This position leads the business side of the Palantir engagement, connecting operational needs with system configuration and scalable workflows across demand management, capacity planning, sourcing, buying, manufacturing operations, and sales-order execution.
This is primarily a business-process transformation role housed within the Information Technology organization. The work is expected to be approximately 80 percent business process and 20 percent technology enablement. The leader will partner closely with Enterprise AI, Enterprise Applications, Program Management, Planning, Buying, Manufacturing Operations, and site leadership to deliver sustainable enterprise capabilities.
The position does not have direct reports initially. It leads a rotating matrix team of approximately five to six subject-matter experts and responsible authorities and must influence decisions, adoption, and execution across functions and sites without relying on formal reporting authority.

The Opportunity
This is a regular full-time leadership role with high visibility and meaningful autonomy. The initial one-to-three-year focus is the Palantir-enabled transformation of planning and sales-order execution. As that body of work matures, the leader may transition to another enterprise transformation initiative or into a business leadership assignment.

Key Responsibilities
•    Serve as the accountable business owner for the Palantir transformation engagement, including priorities, workflows, requirements, vendor direction, adoption, and business outcomes.
•    Lead the design and refinement of end-to-end workflows for demand planning, capacity planning, sourcing, buying, production visibility, and sales-order execution.
•    Translate operational needs into process maps, business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, implementation priorities, and sustainable operating standards.
•    Steer the implementation partner and work with Enterprise AI, Enterprise Applications, and data leaders to align business outcomes with platform architecture, system configuration, and the enterprise data-layer strategy.
•    Make day-to-day decisions regarding process and capability design, while using sound judgment to elevate significant data-governance, customer, government, risk, or enterprise decisions to senior leadership.
•    Build alignment across Planning, Buying, Manufacturing Operations, Program Management, Factory Management, and other business stakeholders across PacSci sites.
•    Lead a rotating matrix team of subject-matter experts and responsible authorities, ensuring clear accountability, timely decisions, and consistent execution.
•    Drive structured problem solving, operational excellence, and process optimization that reduces manual effort and replaces disconnected spreadsheets or individual knowledge with scalable workflows.
•    Lead organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption for new enterprise capabilities.
•    Develop leaders and subject-matter experts so new processes, tools, and standards can be sustained after implementation.
•    Build sufficient hands-on knowledge of Palantir to support future use cases and progressively operate as a capable citizen developer within the platform.

Initial Deliverables
•    Within the first 90 days, mobilize the demand and capacity planning automation initiative, establish the cross-functional team, create the implementation plan and schedule, and define a high-quality path to go-live that materially reduces manual planning effort.
•    Within the first 180 days, define and begin implementing a sales-order kickoff-to-closeout operating model that systematizes requirements, historical build information, key milestones, testing status, cycle-time learning, forecasting, and production visibility.
•    Create workflows that can scale across sites, including consistent deployment and adoption in Chandler and Hollister.
•    Align both workstreams with the enterprise data-layer strategy so PacSci can integrate current and future AI-enabled capabilities without unnecessary platform dependency.

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and substantial directly relevant experience.
•    Typically 10 or more years of progressive experience, or comparable demonstrated depth, spanning demand management, capacity planning, supply chain, sourcing, buying, and manufacturing operations.
•    Experience in government contracting or another project-based planning or accounting environment.
•    Demonstrated ownership of complex business-process transformation and change adoption, including the ability to move from future-state design through implementation and sustained use.
•    Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence leaders, subject-matter experts, vendors, and executives without direct reporting authority.
•    Exceptional structured problem-solving, business-process optimization, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
•    Strong systems acumen, including experience with ERP, planning, reporting, analytics, or workflow platforms and the ability to translate between business and technical teams.
•    Executive-level communication skills and the judgment to distinguish between decisions that can be made independently and those requiring senior-leadership consultation.
•    High ownership, strong follow-through, adaptability, humility, collaborative judgment, and a willingness to work hands-on in a fast-moving environment.
•    Ability to work fully on site in Chandler, Arizona, travel approximately 20 percent between PacSci locations, and provide evening or weekend support during critical launches or implementation milestones when needed.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience with Palantir Foundry or another AI-enabled planning and operations platform. Direct Palantir experience is strongly preferred for external candidates but is not required when the candidate demonstrates exceptional business-process and transformation depth.
•    Experience with Infor Visual, Oracle Fusion, Power BI, or the Microsoft technology ecosystem.
•    Experience in aerospace, defense, or another complex manufacturing environment.
•    Experience leading transformation across multiple sites or geographies.
•    Demonstrated continuous-improvement or Lean experience. Certification is not required; measurable results are more important than credentials.
•    Advanced degree in a relevant discipline, including an MBA.

Work Arrangement
Schedule: This position is fully on site in Chandler, Arizona, with a five-day workweek and core hours generally around 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Travel and flexibility: The role requires approximately 20 percent travel between PacSci locations and flexibility to support evening or weekend work during key implementations, launches, or urgent transformation milestones.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is not expected for this position.
