Position SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced
TAR Scheduler for a relatively small outage in the Houston area. The scheduler must be capable of independently developing, maintaining, updating, and analyzing a detailed turnaround schedule using Primavera.
The outage includes approximately
300 jobs across four operating units and an anticipated schedule of approximately
10,000 activities/lines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and update the integrated turnaround/outage schedule using Primavera P6.
- Work closely with planning, construction, operations, cost, and project leadership to ensure schedule alignment.
- Incorporate detailed job plans, contractor activities, milestones, constraints, and execution sequencing into the schedule.
- Perform schedule updates, progress tracking, critical path analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Identify potential schedule conflicts, delays, and areas of concern and communicate impacts to project leadership.
- Support schedule reporting and provide accurate information for outage planning and execution decisions.
- Maintain schedule integrity throughout pre-outage planning, execution, and closeout.
Qualifications- Minimum 10 years of previous turnaround/outage scheduling experience required.
- Strong Primavera P6 experience required.
- Significant refinery, petrochemical, chemical plant, or similar heavy industrial experience.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing large, complex turnaround schedules.
- Strong understanding of turnaround planning, sequencing, construction activities, and execution.
- Ability to work effectively with planners, contractors, operations personnel, and project leadership.
- Must be comfortable working extended hours and a 7x12 schedule during outage execution.
