Lead Transition Manager - REMOTE USA

Job Summary

As a CBRE Lead Transition Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Transition Managers while maintaining hands-on project delivery accountability for complex, multi-disciplined real estate project solutions for clients.

This job is part of the Project Management function, responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion, with additional responsibility for team coordination, mentorship, and performance oversight.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to a team of Transition Managers to achieve project and program goals.

  • Act as the first point of escalation for project issues, removing blockers before senior leadership involvement.

  • Monitor team workload, resource allocation, and utilization to ensure balanced distribution and timely delivery across the portfolio.

  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, provide coaching and feedback, and support professional development of team members. Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities.

  • Support staff recruitment, selection, onboarding, and performance management. Provide recommendations for promotion, advancement, and corrective action.

  • Implement communication plans and facilitate project and team meetings to keep clients and stakeholders informed.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values

Project Delivery:

  • Manage all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for multiple real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.

  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensure data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.

  • Track project progress against goals, budgets, and timelines. Report status and variances. Create and execute action plans to meet objectives.

  • Identify project risks, lead constructability reviews, and develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch), preferably in a technical area of study. Minimum 5-8 years of relevant project management experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Prior experience in a team lead, supervisory, or mentorship capacity preferred.

  • PMP, LEED AP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret complex business documents, write clear reports, and deliver persuasive presentations to clients and management.

  • In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to forecast, prepare budgets, and conduct financial/business analysis.

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex situations and exercise judgment based on multiple sources of information.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and MS Project.

  • Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard to complex documents affecting real estate projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys and drawings

  • Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset and willingness to challenge existing solutions.

  • Ability to make decisions with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve project and team results.

  • Ability to set team priorities and project deadlines.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Lead Transition Manager position is $90,000 annually or [ $43.26 per hour], and the maximum salary for the Lead Transition Manager position is $100,000 annually or [$48.07 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
