The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is accountable for driving the technical strategy, software delivery, and federation model for Avery across multiple business units within UnitedHealthcare and Optum. This role partners closely with software engineering, architecture, security, AI platform, operations, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, reusable conversational AI capabilities. In order to support this need, the TPM will translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable engineering roadmaps, backlog priorities, platform capabilities, APIs, integrations, and delivery plans. Also critical to success is the ability to understand modern software engineering practices and use AI-assisted development tools such as Codex to accelerate prototyping, clarify requirements, support solution design, and improve delivery outcomes. The TPM will need to work with internal constituents to synthesize qualitative and quantitative measures including platform adoption, operational performance, delivery throughput, reliability, defect trends, call obviation, containment, average handle time, and customer satisfaction data such as NPS (Net Promoter Score) in order to help establish a balanced prioritization approach. By doing so, the TPM will develop a shared technical product vision and roadmap for the future of Avery Federation and the UnitedHealthcare Member Experience.
