Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Lead Tech, Business Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, the selected candidate must be willing and able to work flexible schedules to support operational and customer requirements, including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel. While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to manufacturing, hangar, flight line, or customer operational environments.
What You Will Do
Project Management & Operational Initiatives
Lead and manage multiple operational projects, business initiatives, and strategic priorities from planning through execution, ensuring successful outcomes and sustainable implementation
Develop comprehensive project plans, establish milestones, identify risks, and proactively drive mitigation actions to ensure project objectives are achieved
Own the execution and results of strategic initiatives and operational changes, maintaining accountability for delivering intended business outcomes
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across operations, programs, quality, supply chain, finance, EH&S, and other support organizations to achieve project goals
Monitor project performance, communicate status updates to stakeholders, and escalate issues as appropriate to ensure timely resolution
Support site leadership in evaluating, prioritizing, and implementing operational improvements aligned with business objectives
Continuous Improvement
Identify and lead initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and cost performance across the organization
Utilize CORE, Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive sustainable process improvements
Develop, maintain, and analyze operational metrics, dashboards, and performance reports to measure effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities
Facilitate root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and implementation efforts for operational and business challenges
Standardize best practices, tools, and processes across multiple sites and organizations to improve consistency and operational effectiveness
Influence adoption of standardized processes and continuous improvement initiatives across Field Support and Final Assembly Line locations, regardless of direct reporting relationships
Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S)
Lead and support site EH&S initiatives that promote a culture of safety, compliance, and employee engagement
Coordinate safety audits, inspections, corrective actions, and follow-up activities to ensure timely resolution of identified issues
Partner with Boeing, site leadership, and EH&S organizations to ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards
Track and report EH&S performance metrics and support continuous improvement efforts related to workplace safety
Operational Coordination & Administration
Coordinate onboarding, site access, training, and related administrative processes to support operational readiness
Review and validate contractor timekeeping, labor reporting, and workforce-related documentation
Maintain operational records, reports, business metrics, and documentation in accordance with company requirements
Support workforce planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and operational readiness activities
Assist leadership with planning and execution of site priorities, customer commitments, and business objectives
Cross-Functional Leadership
Drive alignment, accountability, and execution across cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and operational priorities
Influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization to support strategic initiatives, process improvements, and organizational change
Lead change management activities associated with new processes, systems, and business initiatives
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer focus
Demonstrate leadership behaviors aligned with company values while mentoring team members and supporting organizational development
Qualifications You Must Have
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience leading operational projects, business transformation initiatives, or continuous improvement efforts in an aerospace, manufacturing, maintenance, or technical services environment
Demonstrated experience utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, CORE, or similar process improvement methodologies
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously
Experience developing business metrics, dashboards, performance reporting, and data-driven improvement strategies
Experience supporting Environmental, Health & Safety programs and regulatory compliance initiatives
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and related business tools

The salary range for this role is 60,000 USD - 114,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
