Job Schedule: 9/80 - Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off.

Job Description:

Stress Analyst is responsible for performing structural analysis in support of design and certification for aircraft primary structures modifications, including load path development, design support, analysis documentation and liaison. Determination of stress levels in primary and secondary aircraft structure, systems, and equipment resulting from applied and induced loads, as well as the comparison of these stresses with material properties to predict failure and structural instabilities given due consideration to applicable failure theories.

Essential Functions:
  • Generate free body diagrams
  • Determine reaction forces, calculate internal loads, and develop shear and moment diagrams
  • Predict internal stresses and structural instabilities in aircraft structure
  • Automation of repetitive analytical tasks
  • Document and report analysis results
  • Clear and effective cummunication, working well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to travel as necessary.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.


Qualifications:
  • BSME, BSAE, BSCE and minimum 8 years of aircraft structural analysis, design and test.
  • MSME, MSAE and minimum 7 years of aircraft structural analysis, design and test.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related structural analysis, design and test experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in finite element modeling and analyses codes.
  • Demonstrated experience with MSC NASTRAN and MSC PATRAN or FEMAP.


Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience analyzing composite primary structures.
  • Experience in MatLab/Simulink a plus.
  • Experience with FAA and/or Military certification requirements.
