Job SummaryProvides advanced analytical and operational support for the management, tracking, and control of space and equipment assets to ensure accuracy, availability, and operational readiness. Analyzes asset data, usage trends, and inventory records to identify risks, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities. Serves as a subject matter expert by partnering with internal stakeholders to support asset planning, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and asset governance.
Essential Functions- Analyze and maintain space and equipment inventory records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with operational requirements.
- Monitor asset utilization, availability, and condition data to identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improved control and efficiency.
- Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, and documentation to support asset planning, reconciliation, and decision-making.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on space and equipment control processes, providing guidance and technical support to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support audits, process improvements, and initiatives that enhance asset governance and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
- Plus 6 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
- Plus 8 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAdvanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret asset, inventory, and utilization data to identify trends and control issues.
Knowledge of asset management, inventory control, or space utilization processes within complex operational environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings, provide guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently with strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools, including spreadsheet and presentation applications.
The salary/hourly range is $94,300.00 - $122,256.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee's assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee's base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
