Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do
- Develop and execute sourcing strategyfor your assigned mechanical commodity in partnership with the global commodity leader, with a focus on variable cost productivity, cash flow, and financial controllership goals.
- Lead end-to-end supplier management, including selection, qualification, development, and the full contract lifecycle from Request for Proposal (RFP) to supplier exit.
- Negotiate contracts and drive cost reductionby identifying savings opportunities, executing commercial negotiations, and implementing sustainable cost controls — collaborating with Finance to validate impact on the general ledger.
- Build technical and market expertisein your commodity area, staying current on global supply market trends, regional capacity dynamics, and supplier capabilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionallywith engineering, Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), fulfillment, logistics, and project teams to ensure suppliers are selected on time and equipment meets project requirements.
- Optimize procurement processesand align with global sourcing initiatives to improve the overall experience for internal customers and drive continuous improvement.
Who We're Looking For
You're a commercially minded sourcing professional who is equally comfortable building long-term supplier strategies and rolling up your sleeves to get a deal across the finish line. You bring market knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and a collaborative instinct that makes cross-functional teams better.
Required- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience in a sourcing, operations, or supply chain role
- Minimum 3yrs of commercial experience in sourcing, sales, operations, engineering, and/or supply chain
Preferred- Prior sourcing experience in the energy, power generation, or industrial manufacturing sector
- Strong data analysis capabilities with the ability to translate insights into sourcing decisions
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results in a matrixed environment
- Strong experience working with logistics and commercial teams to manage regional capacity and localization requirements
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus in support of global supplier engagement
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $94,600.00 and $157,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidates experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
