Full Job Description
Lead SAP Business Analyst, FICO

The Lead Business Analyst (BA), Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), who will be responsible for analyzing the business needs of the operations area with the primary purpose of eliciting high-level requirements, capturing business needs, identifying problems and proposing solutions. This role will work with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs to understand technology solutions needed; understand the customer journey and define user requirements. In addition, they will promote architectural consistency and usability standards as well as defining and executing test cases. The Lead BA will work with the business partners and the information technology staff to identify technologies to improve business processes.

The Lead BA will work as a liaison between the IT department and the assigned business units to analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business process and policies. In addition, the BA will focus on improving how the business operates by applying best practices to the individual business area. This may be done via SAP ERP, Process Improvement or through other methods.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Lead FICO BA will undertake the following activities:
  • Identify business process improvement opportunities.
  • Productively working with and influencing the business area.
  • Maintain regular communication with business area for project updates.
  • Assist with resource planning and project assignments for FICO BA team.
  • Participate in future SAP Discover, Build, Test and Deploy activities.
  • Identify and define business requirements with outcome criteria and metrics.
  • Map business processes.
  • Identify and resolve issues.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to project team and implementation consultants.
  • Maintain training documentation.
  • Train users on proper usage of the SAP system.
  • Maintain test scripts for FICO processes.
  • Resolve support tickets for end users.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the United States and internationally to support future SAP deployments.

Qualifications
  • Requires a minimum Associate or Bachelor's degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, information systems, or similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years FICO experience is preferred.
  • Experience with supporting and enhancing SAP S/4HANA preferred.
  • IT domain experience, preferably in three or more of the following areas: SAP configuration, testing, preparation of functional specs, working with developers on enhancements and new functionality. A/P, A/R, banking, costing, credit, fixed assets, general ledger, internal orders, OpenText, sales tax, project systems.
  • Must have above average ability to communicate both in writing and orally.
  • Must be self-motivated to work independently.
  • Must be able to drive collaboration among different personalities and departments.
  • Experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases and user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours when required.
  • Must be dependable and punctual.
  • Willingness to work onsite required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally on occasion.
