Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Animal Emergency Clinic of Fraser Valley (AECFV) | Langley, BC
Full-Time | Permanent | 24/7 Emergency, Specialty & Critical Care | AAHA Accredited
Compensation: $39-45/hr (Based on experience) + $4 shift differentials for evening & overnight hours
Sign On Bonus Up to $5,000 available!

Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Technician Lead, you'll provide exceptional patient care while serving as a mentor and resource for your fellow Veterinary Technicians.
  • Mentor, coach, and support Veterinary Technicians to encourage professional growth, confidence, and clinical excellence
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary hospital environment
  • Partner with hospital leadership to improve workflows, efficiency, and patient outcomes
  • Support team members during complex, critical, and high-stress cases
  • Help foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and development initiatives for Veterinary Technicians
  • Contribute to scheduling support and team performance initiatives
  • Serve as a clinical role model by demonstrating advanced technical skills and patient advocacy
  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and clients to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience preferred
  • Strong emergency, critical care, or specialty medicine experience preferred
  • Positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to motivate and support team members
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and supportive in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for patient care, professional development, and continuous learning
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required

Schedule
  • 3 to 4 shifts of 8 to 10 hours per week
  • One weekend shift per month required
  • Rotating schedule including some statutory holidays
Compensation & Benefits
Pay:
  • $32-45/hr based on experience
  • $4 shift differential for evening and overnight hours
