What You'll DoLead & Grow the Department
- Take charge as the day-to-day leader for Division 10 in Texas, setting priorities, standards, and pace.
- Scale estimating, project management, submittals, procurement, and closeout using our standard processes to support continued growth.
- Identify and pursue Division 10 opportunities across the Texas market-deepen relationships with existing Himmel's GC and architect customers and open new doors.
- Partner with the Business Unit Manager in Dallas to align Division 10 growth with overall branch strategy.
- Grow the department to train and mentor future project coordinators, estimators, and installers.
Project Management- Manage Division 10 projects from bid through closeout: toilet partitions, restroom accessories, lockers, wall and corner protection, signage, fire protection specialties, visual display products, and related architectural specialties.
- Review plans, specifications, and scope documents; prepare and review takeoffs and estimates; assist with competitive, accurate bids.
- Produce and manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages, on time and accurately.
- Coordinate procurement with manufacturers and vendors; negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery windows.
- Own project schedules, budgets, and profitability; own the financial outcome of your projects.
- Coordinate installation with field teams, subcontractors, and general contractors; conduct site walks and punch-list resolution as needed.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, ADA/TAS accessibility standards, and applicable codes.
Customer & Market Development- Serve as the Division 10 point of contact for general contractors, architects, and owners in the Dallas market.
- Build strong long-term relationships-Himmel's wins on service, and Division 10 will too.
- Collaborate with Himmel's marketing and sales teams to position Division 10 offerings, share market intelligence, and support targeted outreach.
- Represent Himmel's at project meetings, industry events, and customer visits that raise Himmel's Division 10 profile.
What We're Looking ForRequired- 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, with direct Division 10 (Specialties) experience-partitions, accessories, lockers, signage, wall protection, fire protection specialties, or related product lines.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction workflow: plan reading, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, scheduling, and closeout.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects at once and hitting budget, schedule, and quality targets.
- A builder mindset-someone who will take initiative, own outcomes, and set the bar for the team.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills with GCs, architects, vendors, and internal teams.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction/ERP software; comfortable adopting new tools (Comsense, Smartsheet, SharePoint, etc.).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across the Texas market as projects require.
Preferred- Prior experience running a Division 10 business or department.
- Established network of Texas-based GC, architect, and owner contacts.
- Familiarity with ADA and Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS) requirements.
- Sales or estimating experience with Division 10 product lines.
- Supervisory or team-lead experience-ready to grow into managing a department.
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency (a plus for the Texas market).
