What you can expect to do here:
• The role includes functioning as the process design Engineer for conceptual to detailed engineering projects, managing client relationships and project quality and ensuring that budget and schedule targets are met.
• Additional activities will include communication and coordination with team members, other WSP groups, equipment vendors, clients, and sub-contractors.
• Preparation of technical reports, specifications, process schematics, and layout drawings, including review of deliverables produced by junior and intermediate colleagues.
• Process and technology selection, equipment sizing and specification, mass balance, hydraulic analysis, 3D layout review, including review of analysis and design by junior and intermediate colleagues.
• Mentoring and on-the-job training for junior and intermediate colleagues.
• Project management of multiple simultaneous projects, including project resource management (in conjunction with other team seniors) and personal time management; Providing project support for other senior staff as required; Supporting the management team with budgeting, strategy development and execution, staff reviews, and delivering training programs.
• Primarily hybrid-based consulting engineering work with some opportunities for business travel and fieldwork.

What you'll bring to WSP:
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 12+ years' experience as a process engineer within the consulting environment. Previous experience as a Lead is an asset.
• Experience in oil and gas (gas processing), hydrogen, carbon capture facilities.
• Current P.Eng. license in your province of residence; P.Eng. license in Alberta an asset.
• Experience with HYSYS or Promax software packages.
• Experience with sizing process equipment (separators, towers, exchangers, coolers, pumps, etc.) and instrumentation (PSVs, BDVs, control valves, restriction orifices, etc.).• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with all team members.
• Strong report writing skills, including control narratives, start-up manuals, final reports for clients and process design memorandums.
• Familiarity with Codes and Standards.• Strong project management and discipline lead skills.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135200 - $179100
MB & ON: $123300 - $169800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $122100 - $162200
