This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Consultant, Electrical Engineer for our Greenville, SC office. Be involved in projects with our Properties & Buildings Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
  • Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawings and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners
  • Coordinate design activities with other multi-discipline project team members
  • Design of electric distribution systems
  • Design of fire alarm systems
  • Design of lighting and lighting control systems
  • Scheduling and selecting of electrical components and equipment
  • Perform electrical load, short circuit and voltage drop calculations
  • Construction administration
  • Involved from project inception to completion in the management of design and construction of electrical infrastructure project
  • Attend client and other stakeholder meetings. Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner
  • Supervise and mentor younger engineers
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7-10 years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution at a utility, industrial, or commercial scale.
  • Engineer license required or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical infrastructure design, especially in healthcare facilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, energy codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Interest in innovative design, specifically in renewable energies and sustainable, high performing buildings.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • LEED AP certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of AGI32 and SKM is a plus
  • Project management experience

Compensation
• Expected Salary (all locations): $98,000- 145,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
