Job Description

As the Lead Procurement Specialist, Direct Procurement, you will be responsible for the strategic management of
specific categories for Direct (Food) Products. You will develop and initiate active management for designated
categories. You will actively identify and develop plans to ensure supply and price competitiveness. Negotiating
cost savings and implementing productivity ideas that appropriately contribute to the functional goals of the
Direct Procurement Team will be ongoing key objectives.

Qualifications

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop category strategies and business continuity plans for assigned categories
  • Build and maintain category intelligence through extensive category research and relationship building with supply partners and key individuals in the supply community
  • Manage and develop supplier portfolio in accordance with aligned strategies, considering performance, risk and the need to maintain a competitive environment
  • Formulate cost effective supply-based strategies
  • Drive value through productivity, supplier resources, untapped synergies and/or process improvements across all managed categories which contribute to the achievement of annual Procurement Department and Corporate savings goals
  • Continual tracking and management of all managed goods, cost drivers and the relevant categories
  • Establish relationships with suppliers who have the capabilities and capacities that meet Domino's specs, superior service, and competitive prices
  • Develop contacts with each supplier in all relevant areas (i.e. sales & technical) for special requests/assistance when needed
  • Develop key relationships with internal stakeholders (both within and external to SCS) driving key category strategies and program execution
  • Make necessary changes in the supplier bases when business cases dictate
  • Support Marketing innovation projects with category intelligence and the supply relationship to execute new products or changes to existing menu items
  • Project management of Procurement driven projects and cross functional projects with enhanced Procurement involvement
  • Develop mastery of assigned categories and the associated global market dynamics
  • Provide forward-looking risk sensitivity analysis for assigned categories
  • Lead and direct the risk management strategy for assigned categories to manage market fluctuations and mitigate volatility.
  • Contribute to internal/external reporting, presentation, and recommendation requirements
  • Ability to translate market dynamics into sourcing strategy
  • Defining clear sourcing objectives (cost, risk reduction, redundancy, ESG, innovation)
  • Understanding key cost drivers (commodities, labor, freight, packaging, energy)
  • Building and analyzing total cost of ownership (TCO) models
  • Assumes incremental supply chain project management responsibilities beyond day-to-day category ownership, serving as project lead for cross-functional initiatives that require structured planning, milestone tracking, and stakeholder alignment

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement activities (direct or indirect)
  • Food & Beverage Industry experience a plus
  • Experience with highly technical or complex categories
  • Ability to work and align at multiple executive levels in the organization
  • Manage internal and external relationships
  • Execute, prioritize and drive multiple priorities without losing focus or momentum
  • Excellent negotiations skills
  • Strong oral/written communication skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output
  • Proven ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision, manage complex issues concurrently and work under strict deadlines and in a rapidly changing environment.
