About the Role:

The Lead Power & Reliability Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of power systems within the organization. This position is responsible for leading technical teams in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical power equipment to maximize system reliability and safety. The role requires a deep understanding of power distribution, electrical components, and reliability engineering principles to prevent outages and minimize downtime. The Lead Technician will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and safety teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions that enhance power system performance. Ultimately, this position ensures that power infrastructure meets regulatory standards and supports the organization's operational goals with minimal disruption.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an accredited electrical or power systems technician program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical power systems maintenance and reliability.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, and protective relays.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Certifications such as NETA (InterNational Electrical Testing Association) or OSHA safety certifications.
  • Experience with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data analysis tools.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a technical environment.
