Reporting to the Director, Performance, Accountability and Funding Allocation, the Lead, Performance, Accountability and Funding Allocation will serve as a key point of contact for assigned Health Service Providers (HSPs), supporting performance monitoring, accountability agreement administration, funding processes, risk identification and continuous improvement initiatives. This role works collaboratively with HSPs, regional teams and internal partners to advance system priorities, strengthen performance outcomes and support practical, data-informed solutions. The scope of this role is regional in nature and will focus on the needs of Ontario Health's North Region. Here is what you will be doing: - Lead the performance management and monitoring of assigned Health Service Providers (HSPs), including accountability agreements, service performance, funding targets, key performance indicators and related reporting requirements. - Support the negotiation, development and completion of Service Accountability Agreements (SAAs), including work-back schedules, supporting documentation, target setting and follow-up with HSPs. - Use health system data, performance measures and funding information to identify risks, trends, service gaps and opportunities for improvement across the region. - Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations to the Director, Consultant and internal partners on HSP performance, accountability requirements, funding allocation, risk management and Ministry/Ontario Health priorities. - Build and maintain strong relationships with HSPs and internal teams to support proactive issue management, collaborative problem solving and alignment with regional and provincial priorities. - Lead or contribute to performance improvement initiatives, audits, risk mitigation activities, integration work and implementation of recommendations, including Auditor General-related follow-up where applicable. - Develop and maintain tools, processes, communications and reference materials that support consistent performance monitoring, escalation, reporting and funding allocation practices. - Participate in and contribute to regional, provincial and cross-functional committees, planning groups and working groups to share best practices, support innovation and advance regional consistency. - Support the development and implementation of regional performance and funding allocation frameworks, including processes to track indicators, monitor progress and evaluate outcomes. - Demonstrate expertise in priority health system issues, including performance measurement, health system data, accountability agreements, HSP funding and quality improvement. - Complete other related duties and ad hoc requests as assigned. Here is what you will need to be successful: Education and Experience - University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Health Administration, Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. - 5-7 years of experience in finance, decision support, analytics and reporting, project management or a similar role; related experience within Ontario's healthcare community is preferred. Knowledge and Skills - Advanced analytical and interpretive skills, with experience using system data, reporting tools and statistical analysis to translate health system questions into analyses, explain results and limitations, and support quality outcomes. - Knowledge of Ontario's healthcare system, accountability agreements, contract performance management, related issues, and evaluation techniques for administrative and clinical performance. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to simplify complex information, engage varied audiences, and build strong relationships with Health Service Providers, management, colleagues, regional partners, and other internal and external stakeholders. - Leadership, facilitation and teamwork skills, including influencing others, leading meetings, and working effectively independently and collaboratively. - Project management experience and knowledge of related methodologies, tools and templates; PMP certification is an asset. - Strong administrative, organizational and time-management skills, with attention to the accuracy, consistency and completeness of performance data, accountability agreements, funding information, reports and stakeholder communications. - Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Teams. - Strong financial acumen.
