Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions- Refine, implement and execute effective strategies to earn business from select agencies and offices of the United States federal government for the company's core offerings.
- Identify, pursue and win specific business opportunities from select agencies and offices of the United States federal government, including their prime contractors.
- Lead and execute initiatives to research, plan, and develop new company offerings and capabilities that align with trending needs of the company's identified customer set.
- Capitalize on existing networks of relationships across select federal agencies to develop business opportunities for the company.
- Leverage an existing in-depth understanding of federal government organizational structures, mission priorities, funding profiles, and procurement approaches to pursue and win core offering sales opportunities for the company.
- Utilize an advanced knowledge and expertise regarding mission critical utility infrastructure, technical power systems, secure facility design and construction, and novel secure communications solutions to win new business.
- Maintain and record an updated understanding of select customer requirements and the strengths and weaknesses of company competitors.
- Provide technical guidance to enable the creation of winning bids for mission critical utility, secure facility, and secure communications opportunities.
- Collaborate with company personnel to develop and review proposals, cost estimates, and secure construction and manufacturing project execution plans.

Skills / Specifications - In-depth understanding of federal classified construction, manufacturing, and communications market trends and conditions.
- Subject matter expert knowledge of mission critical utility infrastructure design and construction, electromagnetic interference / radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI) shielding, sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIFs), and secure data transport.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not require the supervision of direct reports.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional office setting using standard office equipment and occasional operation in workshop, production facility, and field environments, which include working near moving mechanical parts, non-weather wet or humid conditions, and extreme cold and heat.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work for prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Lifting of up to 25 lbs. may occur.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. Standard days and hours are 40+ hours per week, weekends and extended hours as needed. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on business needs.
TravelThis position requires travel approximately one quarter of the year, including weekly travel within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA), monthly travel to company facilities and customer project sites, and periodic travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations, including classified, hostile and austere environments.
Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business-related discipline, or 20 years' work experience in a relevant field.
- 10+ years working with select agencies and offices of the United States Intelligence Community and Department of State.
- Business development experience preferred but not required.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance- Must have and maintain a Top Secret federal security clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).
- Must be able to pass federal contract OCONUS deployment requirements published by the US Government from time to time.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test and motor vehicle record review.
- Must possess a valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID requirements.
