Job DescriptionUnder the direction of a Supervisor, the Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Lead CLS) utilizes professional knowledge, skills and judgment to perform a variety of technical, clerical, physical and quality assurance functions. The Lead CLS works independently, oversees the day to day operation of the division, supports leadership of the division and accepts responsibility for special projects/activities as agreed upon with the supervisor and/or manager.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree - Science.
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire or,
- California Clinical Chemist Scientist License upon hire or,
- California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License upon hire or,
- California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist License upon hire or,
- California Clinical Toxicologist Scientist License upon hire or,
- California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist License upon hire or,
- California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License upon hire or,
- California Clinical Hematology Scientist License upon hire or,
- California Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist License upon hire or,
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist Biochemistry Special License upon hire.
- 1 year - Experience as a CLS.
Preferred Qualifications: - ASCP certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
