Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Tucson or Denver office. As a senior member of the mechanical team, you will supervise and coordinate the delivery of multidiscipline engineering design. About the Role
  • Deliver mechanical engineering design according to required timeframes and standards by supervising the performance of mechanical engineers, reviewing deliverables and providing high level technical expertise
  • Facilitate the purchase of appropriate equipment by specifying requirements and assisting procurement with the purchase of equipment
  • Contribute to the cost-efficient delivery of mechanical engineering by managing the man hour budget and reviewing and approving mechanical capital cost estimates, recommending alternative approaches where possible
  • Assist the development and review of relevant mechanical contracts by providing advice and input as required
  • Issue drawings and other relevant information for construction by working with engineers and designers
  • Motivate engineers and other project team members towards superior performance by supporting daily performance and providing ongoing mentoring and training
About You
  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10 years+ years in mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry, e.g. mining, mineral processing, materials handling, specifically gold and copper
  • Must hold PE Certification- ideally within Arizona or Colorado
  • Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner utilizing personal knowledge, external consultants and in-house experience
  • Good knowledge of CAD and 3-D software and MS Office
  • Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering
  • Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Well-developed written and oral skills
