Full Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Market Risk Officer for the Trade Product Stress Team (TPST) within Market & Counterparty Risk Management. TPST oversees regulatory and business-as-usual stress testing initiatives, partnering across lines of business to strengthen risk measurement, regulatory reporting, CCAR execution, scenario design, risk identification, and strategic infrastructure development.

This role will serve as a team leader for the FR Y-14Q Schedule L execution team, with responsibility for quarterly counterparty regulatory reporting and related annual CCAR deliverables. The selected candidate will maintain project plans, coordinate execution across key stakeholders, and support clear, well-documented regulatory submissions.

The ideal candidate will bring deep counterparty risk knowledge, strong understanding of exposure metrics and CCAR/FR Y-14Q requirements, demonstrated success partnering with business and technology teams, technical acumen, and exceptional attention to detail.

This individual will gain exposure to senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders, influence strategic risk infrastructure, and collaborate within a high-performing team culture. The role offers meaningful professional growth in a critical area of financial risk management.

In this role, you will:

  • Apply Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong command of counterparty risk metrics, exposure modeling, and regulatory frameworks, including FR Y-14Q and CCAR.

  • Translate Analysis into Insight: Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable conclusions with strong attention to detail.

  • Partner Across Functions: Collaborate effectively with business, risk, finance, and technology partners to drive execution.

  • Drive Execution: Prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.

  • Exercise Sound Judgment: Manage multiple priorities, take initiative, and apply strong judgment in complex situations.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of business, regulatory, and risk requirements related to FR Y-14Q, including awareness of emerging regulatory trends and their implications.

  • Prepare and submit the FR Y-14Q Schedule L Counterparty schedule in accordance with regulatory requirements; analyze reported data to identify trends, explain variances, and attribute exposures.

  • Develop presentations on Schedule L submissions, reporting processes, and control documentation; present findings to regulators, internal audit, and senior management as needed.

  • Document data, processes, and methodology requirements for FR Y-14Q Schedule L submissions; support adherence to Governance and Oversight policies and partner with Enterprise Regulatory Reporting to maintain compliance throughout production and reporting.

  • Partner with Technology to resolve technical issues and contribute to strategic reporting solutions.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: trading, desk analyst, Capital Markets, market risk, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency inSQLandMicrosoft Office(Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA) and counterparty exposure calculations.

  • Familiarity with derivatives (e.g., interest rate swaps, CDS, equity options) and securities financing (e.g., repos, securities lending).

  • Work experience in a Middle Office, Collateral Management, or Product Control function.

  • Familiarity with non-cleared, exchange traded and cleared products.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
