Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of annual internal audit plans based on risk assessments and quality objectives.
  • Schedule, prepare, and conduct internal audits across departments to evaluate compliance with AS9100 and internal procedures.
  • Document audit findings clearly, identifying non-conformities, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare formal audit reports and present results to leadership.
  • Collaborate with process owners to determine effective corrective actions and monitor implementation.
  • Track and verify closure of corrective actions and validate effectiveness through follow-up audits.
  • Support external customer audit activities by facilitating documentation, responses, and actions.
  • Provide training and mentoring to quality team members.
  • Recommend enhancements to the internal audit process and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Full Job Description
Position Description:

The Lead Internal Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the organization's continued compliance with aerospace quality standards, including AS9100, AS13100, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations. This position is responsible for planning, leading, executing, and reporting on internal audits across departments and facilities. The Lead Internal Auditor also partners with cross-functional teams to identify root causes, recommend corrective/preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. This position will cover all Enjet Aero locations located in the Midwest.

Essential Responsibilities:
