The ideal candidate is a hands‑on Solace infrastructure engineer with a forward‑looking mindset centered around the 3As: Automation, APIs, and AI. You are a strong advocate of DevOps, SRE, and Agile practices and play a key role in designing and building a standardized, scalable, and resilient hardware‑based Solace platform. • Drive an automation‑first infrastructure engineering strategy, ensuring infrastructure is designed to be programmatically provisioned, configured, and managed
  • Apply AI‑assisted engineering capabilities to accelerate infrastructure development, including code generation, configuration validation, design analysis, and standardization
  • Participate in projects to modernize and evolve Solace infrastructure architecture, aligning with target‑state engineering principles
  • Evaluate internal and external technologies, including AI‑enabled engineering platforms, to support infrastructure build, automation, and architectural goals
  • Design infrastructure patterns and tooling that reduce manual effort and improv repeatability, reliability, and engineering quality
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaboration with engineering teams
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document infrastructure automation and tooling using Agile engineering practices
  • Make technical decisions related to architecture, automation frameworks, AI usage, implementation plans, and engineering tradeoffs
  • Identify engineering risks and dependencies early and define mitigation strategies through design and automation
  • Direct daily risk and control activities, ensuring infrastructure engineering aligns with policies, procedures, and standards
  • Recommend engineering approaches that improve cost efficiency, scalability, resiliency, and speed of delivery
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers, customers, and vendors to resolve complex engineering challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of middleware engineering or administration experience using Solace PubSub+ hardware appliances and/or Solace PubSub+ Software Brokers (OCP Containers and Public Cloud)
  • 5+ years of experience building and managing enterprise‑scale infrastructure using automation
  • 3+ years of advanced coding or scripting skills, with a strong focus on infrastructure automation (e.g., Python or similar).

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with observability and monitoring tools such as RTView, Grafana, Prometheus, and BigPanda
  • 5+ years of automation experience using Python, SEMP APIs, GitOps, and integration with CI/CD pipelines and internal developer platforms (IDPs)
  • Expert‑level knowledge of Splunk, including dashboard creation and alert configuration
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys or similar platforms
  • Ability to provide Level 3 (L3) engineering support for operations and development teams
  • Familiarity with Tomcat, Java, and database technologies
  • Expert understanding of infrastructure engineering technologies, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and remediate complex technical engineering and support issues.
