Full Job Description
Oxford Solutions is working with a consulting-focused client seeking a Lead Industrial Engineer Consultant to support operational improvement initiatives across retail and supply chain environments. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strong industrial engineering expertise with project leadership and client-facing consulting experience.

Pay Rate: 95K+

This role will lead onsite operational assessments, manage project workstreams, and drive measurable improvements in workforce productivity, labor utilization, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead consulting engagements and manage one or more project workstreams from planning through implementation
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for project activities including task planning, prioritization, progress tracking, and client communication
  • Conduct operational assessments, workflow evaluations, time studies, and work measurement analysis
  • Develop labor standards, process improvements, and operational recommendations to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Analyze operational data and develop cost-benefit models and performance improvement strategies
  • Partner directly with client stakeholders across retail, distribution, and fulfillment operations
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and project status updates with leadership teams
  • Coordinate project deliverables and ensure timelines and milestones are achieved
  • Mentor junior consultants and support overall project execution

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering required
  • 3-7 years of experience in a consulting role applying industrial engineering principles
  • Proven experience leading onsite client engagements within retail, warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operations
  • Strong knowledge of industrial engineering methodologies including time studies, labor standards, process improvement, and Lean principles
  • Experience with operational analysis, workflow optimization, and process re-engineering
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship management abilities
  • Ability to lead projects independently in fast-paced consulting environments

Travel Requirements:
  • Travel is typically Monday through Thursday at client locations across the U.S.
  • Candidates must live within commuting distance of a major U.S. airport
  • Ability to travel approximately 60-80%
