About This Role

As an HVAC Technician, you'll diagnose and repair heating and cooling systems, help guide customers to informed and confident decisions, and deliver top-notch service that reflects PSI's high standards.
What You'll Do
  • Complete a wide range of residential HVAC service calls with precision and care.
  • Build trust and rapport with homeowners to recommend products and services that fit their needs.
  • Ask insightful questions to pinpoint issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Walk customers through financing options and maintenance plans to protect their investment.
  • Identify and explain replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient, or underperforming systems.
  • Hold yourself accountable to meet and exceed individual revenue targets.
  • Present yourself as a knowledgeable, friendly professional to earn repeat business and referrals.
  • Coordinate closely with our customer service and dispatch teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Keep your truck well-stocked and job sites clean and organized.
  • Participate in daily training sessions, team meetings, and occasional trade shows or retreats.
  • Mentor and train apprentices to develop future talent.
  • Complete invoices, option sheets, and timecards accurately and promptly.
What You Bring
  • Active license and thorough knowledge of local HVAC codes.
  • Strong technical skills backed by the ability to draw and interpret diagrams and blueprints.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional certifications (like NATE).
  • Excellent organization and follow-through to see tasks through from start to finish.
  • Outstanding communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • High integrity, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Proven experience installing, replacing, and servicing HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.

What to Expect on the Job
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of work, following OSHA standards and safe practices.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and lifting 50+ lbs.
  • Work in various weather conditions throughout the seasons.
  • Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-5:00 pm, with occasional on-call rotation.

The pay for this position is $35-$45/hour or more depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location, plus performance based incentives. Other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
