Summary

You will serve as a LEAD ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (ELECTRICAL) in the Lead GT Controls Engineering Technician of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Duties

Help

• You will serve as as the Technical Coordinator and lead subject matter expert for Gas Turbine Control Systems and associated equipment with responsibility for functional checks, test and inspection, and material condition assessment of major systems.
• You will solve technical difficulties, acting independently in addressing, resolving problems and making significant technical decisions.
• You will conduct independent engineering studies, investigations, research and analysis for the solution of unusual or unprecedented engineering problems or in support of short and long-term engineering projects.
• You will provide expert repair guidance to include thorough risk analysis and repair options and advises the maintenance team of methods of solving problems based on these investigations.
• You will serves as coach in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members.
• You will represent the team in dealings with the supervisor or manager for the purpose of obtaining resources and secures needed information or decisions from the supervisor on major work problems and issues that arise.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning and coordinating immediate authoritative technical assistance on urgent mission-degrading CASREPs as well as less urgent, complex technical problems while supporting shipboard assessments.
