What You Will Accomplish: - Lead & Elevate a Team: Coach, facilitate, and coordinate the daily operations of three or more engineering professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous growth. - Drive Mission-Critical Software: Direct the design, development, and maintenance of vital weapon system and ground support software, spanning avionics, electronic warfare, cybersecurity, and simulation. - Counter Global Threats: Directly impact tactical readiness by updating the Global Emitter Library and creating complex, new flight scenarios to test systems against both simulated and real-world threats. - Deliver On-Site Tactical Expertise: Coordinate directly with the 850th Spectrum Warfare Group, providing hands-on engineering assistance and rapid software corrections at key locations including Eglin AFB, FL and Whiteman AFB, MO. - Champion Cyber Security & Assurance: Lead Operational Flight Program (OFP) delivery, ensuring all software meets the most rigorous software assurance and cybersecurity standards to protect our systems from compromise. - Manage Secure Operations: Oversee critical security procedures and processing for your team, ensuring all personnel maintain the strict program access requirements necessary for the mission. Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and security requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations, TOs, and/or directives. 5. Skill at software/hardware integration and troubleshooting and at applying professional judgment in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative approaches and in devising solutions or conclusions to highly complex problems, both programmatic and technical. 6. Ability to plan, conduct, and record engineering investigations and inspections; to research, analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions; to plan and organize work and coordinate with other engineering disciplines; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to develop written guidelines, procedures, and policies; and to maintain good working relations. 7. Ability to plan and monitor large and complex engineering or scientific projects; to search out and development new or greatly modified methods and approaches so as to assure applicable objectives, standards, and requirements are met; and to adapt precedents or make significant departures from previous approaches to similar projects in order to provide for specialized requirements of some projects.
