Job DescriptionInforma TechTarget is looking for a lead editor to manage and head up its cybersecurity media publication Cybersecurity Dive and the journalists who work on the site. The lead editor is responsible for maintaining editorial excellence, ensuring content quality and accuracy and growing the brand's role as a trusted news resource for C-level executives.
The ideal manager will be a skilled people leaderand a strong journalist with expertise and presence in the cybersecurity market.
The position reports to the VP.
Role & Responsibilities- Lead Cybersecurity Dive's content strategy
- Grow its target audience of CISOs and C-level executives with the goal of ensuring and expanding audience loyalty and engagement
- Manage and deploy the publication's resources and budgets
- Manage a team of reporters and mentoring, training and coaching them for growth
- Direct resources for optimal execution of editorial products (including daily newsletters, digital reports, virtual events)
- Serve as a role model for the team, and hold journalism accountable to the brand's high standards
- Build and maintain relationships with CISOs and C-level executives to inform coverage and content strategy
- Monitor audience engagement metrics and adjust content strategy accordingly
- Represent the brand at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements
- Foster a collaborative, innovative and inclusive team culture
- Assess the publication's market position and recommend growth strategies
- Collaborate with audience team to ensure content aligns with business goals
Qualifications- Minimum of 5+ years of cybersecurity journalism experience and a minimum of 1 year of experience as a manager
- Cybersecurity technology and subject matter expertise with exceptional business reporting, writing and editing skills
- Strong leadership and communications skills
- A proven ability to think strategically, plan holistically, shape editorial coverage and mobilize resources
