A lead product manager manages multiple simultaneous projects and oversees all aspects of each project, from conception to completion.
Lead product managers may also task themselves with developing new products or features within existing offerings. This requires them to work with other departments —such as engineering, service, ops, sales, etc.—to ensure that they're building something that meets the needs of both the customer and the business.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Lead the product vision and roadmap for assigned digital experiences.
- Translate our priorities, customer insights, and operational needs into measurable outcomes.
- Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform evolution.
- Lead product discovery and identify opportunities that improve customer and outcomes.
Mobile & Digital Experience Leadership
- Lead strategy and execution of mobile-first customer experiences.
- Champion intuitive digital journeys across authentication, onboarding, refill, fulfillment, and self-service.
- Partner with UX and Engineering to improve usability, accessibility, and customer satisfaction.
- Use customer insights and analytics to prioritize investments.
Capability Thinking & Platform Evolution
- Identify opportunities to convert channel-specific functionality into reusable platform capabilities.
- Partner with capability product managers to reduce duplication and increase consistency across channels.
- Advocate for configurable, scalable solutions over one-off customizations.
- Help shape our transition toward capability-based product ownership.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead teams through discovery, prioritization, delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Build partnerships across Design, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, and Business teams.
- Influence strategic decisions through data, customer insights, and product recommendations.
Product Operations & Delivery
- Define success metrics and measure growth.
- Manage roadmap priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Complete product documentation, feature definition, and implementation planning with high quality.
- Balance innovation, technical modernization, and operational stability.
Use your skills to make an impact
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Product Management experience leading complex digital products.
- Experience managing native mobile applications (iOS and Android) and responsive web experiences.
- Customer-centered design and digital product strategy experience.
- Experience defining product roadmaps and prioritizing competing needs.
- Lead teams without direct authority.
- Experience using customer insights and analytics to drive product decisions.
- Experience identifying reusable solutions and influence platform strategy.
- Experience working within Agile product organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or other regulated industry experience.
- Experience with modular product architecture, reusable component strategies, or capability-based product management.
- Experience partnering with platform engineering teams.
- Experience leading digital transformation projects.
- Experience with customer journey mapping and service design.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$126,300 - $173,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
