Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience as a Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician for Class 6-8 trucks.
• Expert proficiency with OEM diagnostic software like Cummins INSITE or Detroit DDDL.
• Strong communication skills with a team-first mindset and leadership potential.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications or OEM factory training preferred; Class A or B CDL is a plus.
• Possess a complete set of heavy-duty hand tools and air/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the diagnosis of complex electrical and mechanical issues using OEM software.
• Perform advanced repairs, including in-frame overhauls and powertrain diagnostics for Class 6-8 vehicles.
• Verify diagnostic accuracy and inspect work to ensure zero-comeback quality standards.
• Guide and train junior technicians in diagnostic procedures and repair standards.
• Partner with service advisors to manage workflow and assign tasks based on skill level.
• Assist in building accurate labor and parts estimates for complex repairs.
• Oversee shop operations in the absence of the manager, with potential for growth into a supervisory role.
