Full Job Description
What You'll Do Day to Day:

LendingPoint is looking for a Lead Data Scientist who can efficiently lead and evolve our direct mail and email program. This person will build datasets and dashboards to drive analytical insights, develop and implement predictive models for direct mail and email targeting strategies, support planning and execution of this program to meet acquisition goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with B2C FinTech models and have the ability to contribute new thinking to position the LendingPoint brand and products to achieve both short and long-term goals. They will have the skill set to manage this channel alongside their counterparts to develop an integrated marketing plan that meets sales and profitability expectations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Solve business problems by leveraging techniques such as segmentation, optimization, advanced analytics and machine learning
  • Create reports and dashboards to closely monitor performance metrics and provide insights
  • Automate datasets, production process and reporting to solve for analytical needs
  • Create test plans to drive growth in applicants and customers
  • Create campaign performance measurement framework
  • Execute plans to drive deeper engagement, loyalty and lifetime value
  • Collaborate with web and digital marketing peers to enable cross channel campaigns
  • Maintain ROI goals, CAC and other performance benchmarks


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or related field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, etc.); Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years' experience, preferably in integrated marketing or analytics roles
  • Experience/knowledge of personal lending, banking or fintech
  • Ability to use data and best practices to think critically, problem-solve, and recommend solutions
  • Experience with statistical modeling, creative testing and advanced analytics
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, etc.
