Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to help shape the strategic direction of new credit card acquisitions for Wells Fargo Branded Credit Card business. It is a Strategy/Growth role where the primary objective is building intent that drives profitable new account acquisitions. The Lead Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in defining, championing and executing strategies that enhance reach of our acquisition strategies.

As a Lead Business Analyst on the Credit Card Branch Acquisition team, you'll help shape credit card acquisition strategy for Wells Fargo Branches, across all customer segments. You'll partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders across Decision Sciences, Underwriting, Credit Risk, Finance & Legal to identify growth opportunities, optimize customer acquisition, and enhance portfolio profitability.

In this role, you will:
Lead complex, multi-faceted profit and loss (P&L) initiatives related to Credit Card product and customer performance, marketing strategy, requiring advanced knowledge and expertise, while demonstrating end-to-end ownership through ideation, design, execution, and measurement
Develop, drive, and influence comprehensive, decision-ready business cases with a strong focus on competitor approaches spanning multiple domains including marketing acquisition, product strategy, and credit risk, to enhance the customer value proposition and experience
Identify, design, and lead innovative solutions to complex product variability and customer growth business problems based on data modeling, using hypothesis-driven approaches, and ensuring rigor in scenarios and sensitivities in positioning and performance
Drive analysis through advanced models and test plans; define decision metrics, guardrails, and measurement standards ensuring product and marketing strategies are responsive to macro-economic conditions
Monitor post-launch performance and assess risks and impacts to profit and loss, customer experience, and risk posture, identifying course corrections based on results
Strategically collaborate with and guide leaders and stakeholders through portfolio trade-offs, sequencing, and prioritization decisions across marketing acquisition, finance, analytics, credit risk.
Mentor and coach less experienced analysts on structured problem solving and decision rigor
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of business analysis, strategy, product, marketing, finance, credit risk, or related analysis experience, or equivalentdemonstratedthrough one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Develop prescreening strategies across different customer segments and different products to increase pre-screen offers for our credit cards in Branch.
Experience developing and executing credit card acquisition, growth, or customer engagement strategies within consumer lending, banking, fintech, payments, or financial services environment.
Analytical background with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, challenge assumptions, and translate insights into clear business recommendations.
Working knowledge of credit card economics, portfolio performance, acquisition channels, customer segmentation, risk strategy, profitability, or offer optimization.
Experience using tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical platforms to evaluate performance, build models, conduct testing, or support strategic decision-making.
Proven ability to lead complex initiatives from ideation through execution, measurement, and post-launch performance monitoring.
Experience designing or evaluating test plans, performance guardrails, measurement frameworks, or scenario analyses to support marketing, product, or acquisition strategies.
Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities, high visibility, and accountability for measurable business results.
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data and strategy for both technical and non-technical audiences.
