This position will be working onsite from Miami, Florida.

Position Summary:

The Lead, Business Intelligence role plays a key role in our efforts by providing data and decision support across the Royal Caribbean Sales Organization with specific analytical responsibilities for the Global Onboard Next Cruise Sales Channel and the North America Trade Sales Channel.

The Sales Lead oversees the analytics of the Onboard Next Cruise channel including fleetwide targets, compensation administration, and strategy driving growth to a channel that represents 8% of all sourcing. They are responsible for providing recommendations to the sales leadership based on their analysis, reporting and interpretation of sales data. The role will identify fleet sales trends, forecast sales, lend analytical support to sales leadership in setting goals, and calculate and monitor performance to ensure sales effectiveness. The role works with Sales, Revenue Planning, Revenue Management, and Onboard Revenue team to ensure cohesiveness with corporate goals and initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Increase participation % for Onboard channel worth 8% of all Global sourcing for Royal Caribbean Fleet by managing data efforts through process improvements involving automation, scheduling, and guest tracking.
  • Serve as business liaison between Sales, Enterprise Transformation, and Data Engineering to ensure all project launches adhere to data requirements and leadership analytics.
  • Design and build KPI requirements to track efforts against capital ROI.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management to improve processes surrounding NextCruise promotion rates and monthly tactical programs.
  • Contribute to annual operating plan by setting future growth targets for NextCruise program in alignment with 5 year global channel sourcing using advanced mathematical techniques to model out future growth.
  • Develop sailing level participation goals for entire fleet annually.
  • Coordinate monthly Global Onboard compensation program for +150 individual worth +$2M
  • Expanded responsibilities include the testing and forecasting of RoyalX commission structures and implementation of new data structures across the department.
  • Monitors Cost of Sale program for North America Trade, analyzing $450M+ of cost expense to guide expense rate KPIs
  • Responsible for the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of sales data to identify trends (i.e., regionally, by product, by account, by market, or by segment).
  • Provide analytical support on tactical and strategic special projects across all sales channels, quickly responding to demand trends.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for all levels of the department.
  • Analyze and disseminate competitive data regarding products, services, and trade compensation to identify industry trends and innovations.
  • Develop productive working relationships with all Sales Managers, Directors, and Executives as well as peers and other colleagues within the department and cross-departmentally
  • Provide support and mentorship to the Sales Analytics team

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years related experience in financial/business analysis.
  • Previous experience with Sales or Marketing preferred.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data trends.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence and data gathering tools (PowerBI, SQL, etc).
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in data and analysis.
  • Ability to effectively present information to executive management and public groups.
  • Ability to work, interact, and communicate with external / internal customers at all levels.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions that incorporate business concepts.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Work on projects independently and as part of a cross functional team.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with a variety of variables in situations where no standardization exists.
