Responsibilities

  • Import Wiring DEF for all supplier families
  • Troubleshoot data and software issues with customers
  • Train and support junior team members
  • Create hrn/cmp/csv files from imported DEF
  • Support quality checks for DEF
  • Create system level DVP&R
  • Determine inline positioning of components
  • Conduct resistance checks to meet system requirements
  • Confirm designs meet terminal plating requirements
  • Create component lists based on housing information
  • Compile inline lists for connectors and descriptions
  • Generate inline pinouts
  • Prepare inline device transmittals with special requirements
  • Select wire gauge for applications
  • Provide splice information for 3D design integration
  • Troubleshoot wire harnesses for full vehicle systems.

Position Overview:

This position serves LEONI's North American Development Department with expertise to organize our Systems Engineering effort in order to create and maintain E/E schematics in LEONI and customer's systems. The candidate should possess the capabilities to independently process E/E systems designs and to represent LEONI in front of our customers and partners. This position reports directly to our Head of Harness Design in Troy, Michigan.

Job Profile Description:
  • Import Wiring DEF for all families including all sub-suppliers (Large, Medium, Small, Data/Communication, HV, Battery, etc)
  • Trouble shoot any issues in data and software and resolve with our customers and business partners.
  • Train/support junior team members
  • Create hrn/cmp/csv files from imported DEF
  • Support def quality team with def checks
  • Create system level DVP&R
  • Determine inline positioning
  • Resistance check to meet system requirements
  • Confirm design meets Terminal Plating and Special Requirements.
  • Create subcomponent list (Terminal, Seal and etc) according to housing information
  • Create inline list file (X/Y-NUMs, Male/Female, connector p/ns, description, etc)
  • Create inline pinout
  • Create inline device transmittal (add special reqs and terminal plating)
  • Wire gauge selection
  • Provide splice information to DRE to integrate into 3D design.
  • Wire harness troubleshooting for the full vehicle


Qualifications
