Full Job Description

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Overall Purpose

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and reports by leading complex accounting initiatives, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies, and overseeing the collection, recording, classification, analysis, and reporting of accounting transactions for Inventory, Installments, and Securitization in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • General Ledger and Accounting Operations: Maintain accounting systems and oversee general ledger activities, including month-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare journal entries, reconcile ledger accounts, and maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.

  • Tax Planning and Compliance: Support compliance with applicable local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare or coordinate tax returns and statutory filings, identify potential tax-saving opportunities, and provide guidance on tax-related matters.

  • Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls designed to safeguard company assets and promote accurate financial reporting. Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures and coordinate internal and external audit activities.

  • Project and Stakeholder Leadership: Lead complex accounting projects and process-improvement initiatives. Communicate financial findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and provide guidance or mentorship to less experienced team members.

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization’s financial and operational objectives, including cash-flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting-system enhancements.

Experienced professional recognized as a subject-matter expert in accounting principles and practices. Applies broad and in-depth inventory and installment accounting knowledge to resolve complex issues and lead significant projects with a high degree of autonomy. Develops and implements long-term plans that may have organization-wide impact, influences strategic and executive-level decisions, mentors less experienced team members, and collaborates frequently with senior leadership.

Supervisory Responsibility: No direct supervisory responsibility.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Professional certification may be required based on the position’s area of specialization.
