Title:

LCV NORTHCOM NTC: Equipment, General Foreman

Program Summary

The Fort Irwin National Training Center is a major training area for the United States military and is located in the Mojave Desert in northern San Bernardino County, California. KBR provides maintenance and logistics services to customers at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California to support the U.S. Army building brigade combat team readiness with ten annual training rotations.

Job Summary

As an Equipment General Foreman, you will supervise multiple union employees providing maintenance services and fault repair for a wide variety of tactical and non-tactical equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Handle workload planning, coordination, and service execution to meet contractual obligations in accordance with the performance work statement. 
  • Set priorities, monitor performance, coach, mentor, and train team members to achieve key performance indicators and quality goals.
  • Provide leadership to cause the creation of organizational structures and processes necessary to fully execute the requirements of services.
  • Ensure the completion of Maintenance services, Quality and HSE within your assigned area. 
  • Evaluate service execution for compliance to the contract, schedule, cost and quality, advising the production control team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors. 
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with performance standards in AR 750-1 and manufacturers guidelines for commercial equipment. 
  • Maintain the short-range look ahead plans and discuss all deviations with the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Review and monitor cost and man-hour utilization for maintenance process, develop an equipment and tools requirement plan and review it with the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. 
  • Supervise union employees on a daily basis, conduct performance counseling’s, make recommendations for discipline/termination of employment, and participate in the KBR selection/retention process.
  • Complete roll calls and accountability of personnel.
  • Must be able to perform required duties, and wear and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to lift/move 45 lbs. without assistance and up to 80 lbs. with assistance.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the work in extreme temperatures, low humidity, blowing sand and dust.
  • May be required to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.
  • Must possess a valid State Real ID
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must possess Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • 3-5 years of experience in Tactical Vehicle maintenance as a Lead or Foreman.
  • Experience in the use of GCSS-Army preferred

Pay

  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
  • Basic Compensation: $82,000-$123,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
