Full Job Description
  • Reports to Amentum's Project Manager and/or Project Supervisor.
  • Performs document reviews in Relativity in English (fluency required) and another language (Chinese fluency is preferred but other languages will be considered).
  • Performs an in-depth second-level review of all documents and identifies documents that require further review by a federal attorney. Typically reviews are conducted in Relativity or RelOne.
  • Performs detailed indexing of case files; drafting procedures for accomplishing litigation support assignments; document acquisition related tasks; and screening for privilege documents
  • Proofreads and edits written documents.
  • May be required to review and summarize audio/video files.
  • Receives and track discovery items.
  • Utilizes electronic and evidence management and discovery production processes and tools, such as Relativity, Casemap and Sanction, to support investigations.
  • Searches the Relativity database per criteria developed by case team management.
  • Reviews search result sets for relevance based on written criteria.
  • Codes relevant documents per existing protocol.
  • Conducts legal research and analysis.
  • Prepares various legal documents, reports, correspondence and assist with technical research documents.
  • Briefs attorneys regarding legal issues and theories and draft statement of facts.
  • Prepares summaries and analyses of information reviewed.
  • Briefs attorneys regarding substance of documents reviewed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust) facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Must be bilingual or multi-lingual (fluency required)-English is required and Chinese is preferred but other languages will be considered.
  • Must be proficient in Relativity/RelOne-particularly conducting document reviews (tagging, searching, coding etc.)
  • Requires Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least two (2) years of study or, an equivalent level of seven (7) years legal training or experience or an equivalent level of education may be substituted.
  • Additionally, must have at least two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects or task order related projects including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
  • Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Must significant experience with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
  • Role also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.

*Employees will earn H&W dollars per eligible hour (including vacation and holiday up to 40 hours/week). H&W monies are used to offset the employers cost of benefits the employee elects into and/or utilizes. Any remaining health and welfare monies after all applicable deductions would be cashed out to the employee on a 1 pay period lag.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Compensation Details:

$46.90
