Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees preferred (Master's or PhD/JD) with varying years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with space systems and ability to interface with developers to mature requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to handle complex technical details and integrate conflicting data.
• Familiarity with contemporary commercial and government launch vehicles, such as Falcon.
• Experience in systems engineering and system integration essential.
• Insight into best practices in the Intelligence Community or DoD Satellite Program Office is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, capable of fostering teamwork in a government/contractor context.
• Active TS/SCI with current Poly Security Clearance is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic and technical guidance for future satellite launch center operations.
• Establish procedures and support plans for satellite launch activities and system integration.
• Oversee projects from design phase to deployment, conducting assessments on timelines, costs, and risks.
• Support launch planning in coordination with launch providers and facilities.
• Coordinate logistics and ensure compliance documentation is maintained.
• Develop specific launch requirements to ensure satellite compatibility with commercial launches.
• Assess launch environments and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate integration of satellite systems with launch vehicles and provide process consultation.
• Optimize launch processing and workflows for better efficiency.
• Draft and review technical documents to ensure compliance with federal policies and organizational standards.
• Act as a liaison to guarantee mission success across engineering, project management, and user teams.
• Contribute to the creation of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) defining boundaries between systems.
• Participate in studies for improved satellite capabilities and support verification and test planning.
• Provide technical assessments at milestone reviews to evaluate contractor designs against mission requirements.
