Job Title: Key Account Manager, Industrial Refrigeration (Remote, Southeast U.S.A.)

Job Description:

The Impact You'll Make

You will play a critical role in growing Danfoss' Industrial Refrigeration business across the United States, helping customers design and build more efficient, reliable, and sustainable refrigeration systems. Your work directly supports our Climate Solutions mission by enabling lower-emission technologies such as ammonia and CO-based systems.

As a Sales Engineer, you are both a commercial driver and a technical advisor. You translate complex customer needs into practical, value-driven solutions while building trusted relationships with OEMs, contractors, consultants, and end users.

Working remotely, you will have the autonomy to own your territory while collaborating with a global organization that values expertise, innovation, and long-term partnerships. Ideally, this person would be located in the Southeast region of the United States to support our customer base located there.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Grow revenue for Danfoss' industrial refrigeration portfolio by identifying, developing, and winning new opportunities across your assigned region.


  • Build and Maintain strong relationships with OEMs, contractors, consultants, and end users to influence specifications and project outcomes.


  • Develop and Execute account plans, manage opportunities in CRM tools, and coordinate activities directly or through representative partners.


  • Apply your refrigeration expertise to prepare quotations, size valves and components, and propose competitive ammonia and CO-based solutions.


  • Deliver technical guidance and training to customers and industry partners, strengthening trust and increasing adoption of Danfoss solutions.


What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent, with a strong business-oriented mindset.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in industrial refrigeration, in a sales or sales-support role.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of the industrial refrigeration market, including products, key customers, competitors, and equipment suppliers.
    • Knowledge of system controls and power systems is a strong plus.
  • Systems & Tools:
    • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Business Skills:
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly assess customer challenges and anticipate future needs.
    • Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and drive for results.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Excellent report writing and presentation skills for both internal and external audiences.
    • Professional, persuasive, and confident communicator.
    • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including representative networks.
    • Willingness to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Self-motivated, tenacious, and results-driven.
    • Strong team player with a collaborative approach


Salary Range Disclaimer: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. The range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000.
