Full Job Description
We're Hiring: Junior Project Manager - Mechanical Construction

Location: Norristown, PA (Field-Based Role) | Pay Range: $75,000-$95,000/year (Base) | Full-Time

What You'll Get:

  • $75,000-$95,000 base salary, based on capability and experience
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • Health insurance + retirement plan
  • Paid holidays + PTO
  • Direct exposure to high-level project execution and leadership
  • Exposure to estimating, operations, field leadership, and full project ownership as capability grows

Position Summary:

This is not an entry-level office coordinator role.

As a Junior Project Manager, you'll be actively involved in the execution of commercial HVAC and kitchen ventilation construction projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia and Tri-State area. You'll work directly with field crews, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and senior project managers to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

You'll be expected to solve problems in real time, make decisions in the field, communicate clearly with tradespeople, and maintain control of job progress without constant oversight.

This role is built for someone coming from the trades, field supervision, mechanical construction, or commercial HVAC environments who wants to transition into project leadership while still staying connected to the field.

If you're looking for a role where you simply complete assigned administrative tasks, this is not the fit.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead field crews and support active commercial HVAC and kitchen ventilation projects from kickoff through closeout
  • Walk active job sites, coordinate with other trades, and resolve issues before they impact schedule or quality
  • Review drawings, verify field conditions, and keep projects aligned with scope and execution requirements
  • Take ownership of smaller projects as capability is demonstrated
  • Keep projects moving through communication, follow-through, and real-time decision making

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years in commercial HVAC, mechanical construction, sheet metal, or related trades
  • Active construction site experience and comfort working in fast-moving field environments
  • Ability to read drawings, understand field conditions, and think beyond the plan set
  • Strong problem-solving ability, accountability, and follow-through under pressure
  • Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred, not required; valid driver's license required

Work Environment:

This is a physical, field-based construction management role.

You'll regularly work on active construction sites, rooftops, mechanical rooms, kitchens, and renovation environments throughout the Greater Philadelphia region and surrounding Tri-State area.

The role involves walking job sites, climbing ladders, navigating unfinished buildings, and working around active trades and equipment.

Candidates must be comfortable operating in fast-moving construction environments where conditions change daily and problems must be solved in real time.

Not a Paper Pusher.

We're looking for someone who wants to lead projects, make decisions, and build real operational value.

If you have a trades background, construction awareness, and the ability to take ownership without being micromanaged, apply.

If you're looking for a low-responsibility support role, this will not be a fit.
