Full Job Description
We seek a full-time attorney for our Evanston office. The attorney must be actively licensed in California. This position supports the firm's California clients and matters.
This is a barred position for a junior attorney. If you are sitting for an upcoming bar exam, please review available positions after you have taken the exam.
You will work closely with the firm's senior attorneys, who will train and mentor you in healthcare law. You will be expected to work regular business hours but will not have a billable hour requirement. The firm offers a generous benefits package, including paid time off and bonuses.
Responsibilities
• Provide legal support to clients, including medical professionals, small- to mid-sized healthcare practices, and management services organizations, on licensure, scope of practice, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day business issues
• Draft and review employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, physician collaborative agreements, management services agreements, and other such documents in compliance with all applicable healthcare laws
• Prepare clients' HIPAA policies and procedures and advise clients on HIPAA compliance
• Advise clients on questions regarding the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Stark Law, and related or state equivalent laws, with the support of the firm's senior attorneys
About the Attorney Role
• Salary range is $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience

Professional Requirements
• Licensed attorney in California
• Zero to two years of post-bar experience preferred; candidates with up to four years of experience will be considered
• Residing in Illinois within commuting distance of the firm's Evanston office
• Professional or educational experience in the preparation and negotiation of contracts
• Professional or educational experience in regulatory and transactional work (not litigation)
• Healthcare or business law experience preferred but not required
• Extremely detail-oriented and able to deliver accurate, client-ready work on deadline
