Job DescriptionMission Technologies, a division of HII, is hiring a
high-impact Junior Cyber Architect to engineer the next generation of cybersecurity defenses. In this role, you'll help design, build, and sustain powerful cyber infrastructures that safeguard critical operations and strengthen national security. Every day puts you on the

This position is
onsite in Columbia, MD, where you'll collaborate with elite cyber professionals and contribute directly to mission-driven innovation.
Essential Job Responsibilities- Cyber Architecture: Design and develop new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
- Security Integration: Integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructure, and design cybersecurity architectural artifacts.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and engineer innovative mitigation strategies.
- Security Lifecycle: Ensure security is established and maintained for operations, covering:
- Security requirements definition and risk assessment.
- Vulnerability testing/scanning and systems hardening.
- Incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Minimum Qualifications- 0 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating system.
- Knowledgeable in networking.
- Experience with Bash, Python, and Perl scripts.
- Experience with vulnerability scan application such as SCAP, Nessus, Anchore, SonarQube, and Fortify.
- Familiar in implementing DISA STIG configurations.
- Familiar with NIST 800-53 and 171.
- Able to obtain and maintain a US level Secret clearance.
Preferred Requirements- Software development experience with Python, Java, and C++.
- Familiar with docker containers.
- Familiar with eMASS and RMF.
- Experience in working agile environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in ATO process.
- DoD 8570 baseline certifications such as CompTIA Security+.
- An active US level Secret clearance.
Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
