Position Overview

The Junior Business Affairs Executive supports the review, coordination, and administration of client deals and agreements. This role provides an opportunity to develop a strong understanding of entertainment industry contracts, union regulations, and business affairs practices across film, television, digital media, and brand partnerships. Working closely with senior team members, the individual will assist in analyzing deal terms, tracking agreements, and helping ensure that client interests are protected while minimizing legal and financial risk.

Duties
  • Assist in the review and analysis of talent agreements across film, television, streaming, digital media, endorsements, and licensing.
  • Draft, revise, and organize deal memos, short-form agreements, long-form contracts, amendments, and related documentation.
  • Support senior business affairs executives in deal negotiations and contract administration.
  • Conduct legal and business research related to compensation structures, rights ownership, union requirements, and industry practices.
  • Help identify potential legal, financial, and business risks within agreements and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with agents, attorneys, clients, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate deal review and execution.
  • Track contract status, key terms, obligations, and deadlines throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable guild and union regulations, including SAG-AFTRA, WGA, and DGA requirements.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and support ongoing reporting and documentation initiatives.
  • Stay informed on entertainment industry trends, evolving deal structures, and market developments.


Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience at a talent agency, entertainment law firm, studio, production company or branding agency.
  • Exposure to digital media, influencer/brand partnership, appearance, film, television, and NDA agreements.
  • Familiarity with guild and union agreements and regulations.
