This specific role is on our Optum Care Delivery team. Our business delivers medical services to customers in a clinic setting. The position will work on our revenue / cash team, responsible for calculating, analyzing, tracking/reporting & recording revenue and AR/cash activity.
If you are located within only Central and Eastern time zones, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:- Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
- Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
- Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
- Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation
- Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
- Assist with or lead the month end quarterly end close process for assigned businesses or groups
- Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues
- Serve as a resource to others

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- 1+ years of professional accounting experience
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven to assess and interprets customer needs and requirements
- Proven to identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
- Proven to solve moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
- Live within Central or Eastern Time Zones

The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
