Position Summary...

What you'll do...
Assists in the operation of a facility. Performs additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or as necessary.

Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines. Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures. Observes and documents signs of wear and tear. Gathers capital expense information. Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs. Determines replacement needs. Documents preventive maintenance activities.

Performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment). Inspects, operates, or tests facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Dismantles equipment, machines, or facilities to access and remove defective parts. Diagnoses problems utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Utilizes hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment. Provides prompt response to emergency calls. Documents repair activities.

Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing and providing required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs). Conducts price comparison of parts and travel-related costs. Orders parts and replacement equipment and tracks orders. Records purchases and usage. Submits warranty claims. Complies with Occupational Safety and
Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines. Ensures quality work is completed that complies with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensures contractors follow Walmart quality standards and safety requirements and meet contract requirements. Identifies and reports deficiencies. Unloads and stores equipment. Transports equipment between facilities.

Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Uses the Open Door Policy. Assists management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.

Follows safety procedures, responds to work orders, completes documentation, and coordinates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners using verbal, written, and electronic communication methods.

Maintains a safe work environment. Observes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Reports all safety violations to management. Ensures all assigned equipment, tools, safety items, vehicles, trailers, and other items are maintained in proper working order by following proper maintenance and inventory schedules.

Performs other facility-related maintenance duties as assigned.

Participates in an on-call rotation, occurring approximately every 4-6 weeks, to support business?critical needs outside of standard business hours. During assigned on-call periods, responds in a timely manner to incidents or requests and supports issue resolution or appropriate escalation as needed.

Maintains vehicles in working mechanical (basic maintenance) and cleanliness condition. Coordinates and takes vehicles for required maintenance, ensuring beforehand that alternate driving support is arranged.

Safely operates motor vehicles and ensures vehicles have all the required documents. Checks fuel and water levels, brake condition, signals, and lights.

Submits maintenance invoices for payment. Verifies the coverage and validity of vehicle insurance.

Wears company uniform and badge according to company policies and procedures.

Operates, inspects, and maneuvers heavy machinery and powered equipment (for example, forklifts, material handling equipment, industrial machines, shop equipment, vehicles) in accordance with training, certification requirements, and safety procedures. Performs pre-operation safety checks and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with applicable standards. Identifies unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or potential hazards and takes appropriate corrective action or escalates as required.

Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.

Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.

Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.








Minimum Qualifications...
