Role Summary:We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team working on our various construction sites near Valleyview, AB. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
- Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications / Requirements:- Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
- Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
- Valid driver's licence
- Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
- Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
Compensation & Benefits:- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $47.50, commensurate with experience and certification
- Shift: 10 days on, 4 days off
- Hours: 10 per day, 8 Regular, 2 Overtime
- Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
