Job Description:We are seeking a highly experienced
Joint Targeting Team (JTT) Lead (Operations Analyst Senior) to serves as the team lead for the Joint Targeting Team in support of the U.S. Army Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Ft Leavenworth KS.
The
Joint Targeting Team (JTT) Lead serves as the primary integrator and coordinator to design, fielding, sustainment, and operational employment of a Mission Intelligence Database (MIDB) training capability to support up to five concurrent warfighter exercise (WFX) databases in support of MCTP. The JTT Lead will ensure MIDB content and services comply with CJCSI 3500.01J, support entity-level target development across FIVE-O target types, enable interoperability with joint/subordinate planning tools, and provide mentorship, training, and AARs to MCTP stakeholders and supported headquarters.
U.S. Army Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). The JTT Lead ensures accurate representation of personnel and training scenarios to support Warfighter Exercises (WFX) and other MCTP-directed training events. This position directly supports MCTP's mission to train Division through Corps-level headquarters in the art and science of mission command.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and sustainment of MIDB training capability for up to five environment-specific WFX databases.
- Produce and validate OB/EEOB, Electronic Target Folders, Equipment Catalogue, reference material, and robust entity-level records (Facilities, Individuals, Virtual, Equipment, Organizations).
- Ensure MIDB interoperability/export formats for subordinate unit intelligence and mission-planning systems and fielded joint targeting tools.
- Oversee server hosting, access control, backups, patching, and security hardening in coordination with database manager(s) and system administrator(s); coordinate surge data entry when required.
- Support planning for air and surface-delivered joint fires and target list construction/management (Joint Target List, Restricted Target List, No-Strike List).
- Develop SOPs, training curricula, and hands-on exercises; mentor JTT, MCTP mentors, O/Cs, and unit staffs.
- Conduct interoperability testing, produce exercise deliverables, and write post-exercise AARs with prioritized recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with classification, ROE, and legal requirements; liaise with joint/component targeting organizations.
Required Qualifications - Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in military targeting, MIDB or equivalent database management, ISR integration, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience building, sustaining, and employing MIDB-like databases to support entity-level target development and target list production.
- Working knowledge of CJCSI 3500.01J and joint targeting doctrine.
- Experience integrating OB/EEOB, Electronic Target Folders, and supporting joint fires planning.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint software.
- BS/BA degree with 5+ years of military experience, or high school education with 10 years military experience.
- Secret clearance Required
Preferred Qualifications - Prior MCTP, Combat Training Center, or large-scale exercise support experience.
- Formal targeting/database/INTEL certifications or JPME.
- School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) graduate.
- Served as a planner on a division of higher staff.
- Served as a warfighting function trainer at the Intermediate Level Education (ILE) or similar school.
The likely salary range for this position is $82,450 - $111,550. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
