Title:

J7 Joint Exercise Support / Knowledge Management Specialist

KBR is hiring highly skilled and motivated candidates to join a high-performance team and provide support to U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) as a Joint Exercise Support / Knowledge Management Specialist.  An active TS/SCI clearance is MANDATORY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain exercise SharePoint portals and other web sites using the latest theories, best practices, and trends regarding effective management and security of information related to the J7 joint exercise events in coordination with CCMD standards and practices.
  • Coordinate with communication focal point to create and delete user computer accounts to include external user accounts, as required to support exercise events upon completion of required training and accreditation as prescribed by USSPACECOM instructions.
  • Use the web-based Task Management Tool (TMT) to ensure timely completion of taskers on NIPRnet and SIPRnet.
  • Develop and implement knowledge management file structures, establishing standardized document organization, version control, and governance practices to improve information accessibility and efficiency for the J7 directorate.
  • Provide on-site support and assistance to plan, develop, execute, and analyze joint exercises, to include, but not limited to, assistance with NIPR/SIPR/JWICS accounts, distro lists, chat rooms, and laptops.
  • Utilize the Joint Training Tool for USSPACECOM to include force requests and the administration of accounts and management of the Joint Training System, Joint Master Scenario Event List (JMSEL) database, and training objectives for exercises.
  • Coordinate, schedule, maintain, test and configure equipment systems of the Joint Training and Exercise Control Center, WGC, and Directorate conference rooms.
  • Maintain an exercise outlook calendar for USSPACECOM that incorporates all exercises being supported by USSPACECOM.
  • Serve as an exercise observer / trainer / assessor as needed. 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • An active Top Secret clearance with SCI, ACCM and SAP eligibility, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • Experience using SharePoint Online to design, develop, and maintain modern web pages and knowledge portals, creating user-friendly content and navigation structures that improve information access and collaboration.
  • Experience using the Joint Training System (JTS) to support exercise planning, execution, and assessment.
  • Experience developing, organizing, and managing knowledge repositories, including document libraries, collaboration sites, and file structures, to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and easy to maintain.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a passion for helping others effectively solve problems and organize/share information to enable team success.
  • Experience identifying challenges, making recommendations to the client and providing assistance and support at the strategic level. 
  • Experience coordinating between internal and external staff agencies to ensure a coherent effort.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required; 15+ years relevant experience within the DoD in lieu of degree.
  • Completion of JPME I is highly desired, and JPME II is preferred.

Desired:

  • Previous experience on a Combatant Command, MAJCOM, HHQ, Joint Staff, OSD etc.
  • Current/relevant space / joint space operations knowledge and background.
  • Experience with the Joint Training Tool (JTT).
  • Experience with ServiceNow.

Work Environment:

  • Location: On-site at Peterson SFB, CO
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
  • Working Hours: Standard

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40hrs

Basic Compensation:

$105,000 - $120,000

This range is for Colorado only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
