Role Overview

The IT Vendor Manager is responsible for overseeing relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure the organization receives high-quality services, competitive pricing, and maximum value from vendor partnerships. This role manages vendor performance, contract compliance, risk mitigation, and support strategic sourcing initiatives while collaborating closely with IT, procurement, legal, finance, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with IT vendors, suppliers and managed service providers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues, escalations, and performance discussions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key vendors to assess service quality, innovation opportunities, and contractual obligations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Contract & Commercial Management
  • Collaborate with Procurement on vendor contract negotiations, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Legal to maintain a centralized repository of IT vendor contracts.
  • Ensure contracts include appropriate service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, pricing structures, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor contract milestones, renewal dates, and vendor obligations.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, consolidation, and value realization.

Performance Management
  • Establish and monitor vendor KPIs, SLAs and operational metrics.
  • Track vendor performance against contractual commitments and business expectations.
  • Manage remediation plans for underperforming vendors.
  • Prepare performance scoreboard and executive reporting.

Risk & Compliance Management
  • Support vendor due diligence and ongoing risk assessments related to cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and business continuity.
  • Partner with procurement, information security, risk management and legal teams to ensure vendors meet organizational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and governance frameworks.

Vendor Financial Management
  • Monitor vendor spending and budget utilization.
  • Analyze vendor invoices and pricing models to ensure contract compliance.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Manage licensing and technology subscription renewals where applicable.

Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with IT leadership to align vendor services with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing and vendor selection activities.
  • Work with project managers and service owners to ensure vendor deliverables meet expectations.
  • Provide vendor-related reporting and recommendations to senior management.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technologies, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, IT sourcing, or technology operations.
  • Proven experience managing performance for enterprise technology vendors, software providers, cloud services, telecommunications, and managed services providers.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, software licensing, SaaS platforms, and managed services.
  • Familiarity with vendor risk management and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Knowledge of procurement and contract management processes.
  • Experience with ERP, procurement, or vendor management systems.
  • Certifications: ITIL Foundation or higher (preferred), PMP (preferred), Certified Technology Procurement Executive (CTPE) (preferred).

The base pay range below is what Legend Biotech USA Inc. reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify this range as needed and in accordance with applicable laws.

Other Types of Pay: Performance-based bonus and/or equity is available to employees in eligible roles.

$110,706-$145,303 USD
