This role will
develop and maintain clear, accurate, and mission-aligned documentation that enhances operational readiness and supports evolving technical landscapes.
Responsibilities of the IT Technical Writer Includes: - Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and military personnel to translate complex technical processes into clear documentation
- Develop and maintain user manuals, system guides, and SOPs for mission-critical systems
- Identify gaps in existing documentation and resolve communication challenges impacting operational efficiency
- Operate in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with Army and DoD standards
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Visio to produce high-quality deliverables
- Ensure adherence to MIL-STD and DoD documentation guidelines
Qualifications of the IT Technical Writer Includes: - 5+ years of experience in technical writing across IT, cybersecurity, or defense environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with SharePoint and content management systems
- Familiarity with DoD documentation standards
- Ability to interpret and translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation
- Strong understanding of version control and document lifecycle management
- Excellent grammar, formatting, and editing skills
- Must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance
Compensation for the IT Technical Writer includes: - Salary range: $90,000- 115,000 (based on experience)
